The Lab Manager plans, manages and supervises the activities of the laboratory and performs technical analytical procedures requiring knowledge and techniques in areas such as hematology, chemistry, special chemistry, microbiology, blood bank, serology, urinalysis, coagulation and phlebotomy as ordered by the physician. Manages laboratory Quality including, without limitation, participation in Quality programs, documentation and compilation of statistics, appropriate Quality manuals, and evaluation of control tests. Performs routine maintenance and troubleshooting for laboratory instrumentation. Must be able to oversee the work of others and make fair judgment about work skills and behaviors. Trains or supervises the training of others. Manages the overall lab operation; develops policies and procedures to ensure compliance, safety, security, quality and accuracy of results; designs and performs test procedures; analyzes requests for tests and equipment; performs and documents performance improvement projects; participates in proficiency program and submits results timely; handles administrative and management matters; prepares (subject to approval) and manages the lab budget including cost containment plans. Manages work load including possible coverage of the bench. Works collaboratively with management team and meets organization-wide goals.
*Clinic Float RN
The Clinic RN assist the Provider in delivering high quality patient care. Accurately document all necessary information within the patient’s chart. Perform in-house lab tests, EKG’s, and assist with basic procedures. Administer and document medications and vaccinations appropriately. Follow-up with all outstanding patient orders, referrals, and prior authorizations.
The Clerk performs a variety of clerical tasks related to patient discharge processes. Fills out discharge paperwork this may include use of computer programs and applications, ensuring proper documentation of patient activities, setup follow-up visit if required and collect payments. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Strong customer service aptitude is required.
*Certified Surgical Technologist
The Surgical Technologist will work directly with the surgeon and the circulating registered nurse. Assists surgeon during gastroenterology endoscopy, operative and invasive procedures with a working knowledge of sterile and aseptic technique. Assures operating suite is adequately prepared and maintained for procedures. Monitors inventory of surgical instruments and supplies. Cleans, reprocesses and sterilizes surgical instruments. Participates in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities.
The Clinic RN assists in delivering high quality care to our patients. The Clinic RN will handle a variety of nursing tasks including, without limitation, the following: triage patients; accurately document within the patient’s chart; perform in-house lab tests and EKGs; assist with procedures as appropriate; administer and document medications and vaccinations; coordinate patient orders and referrals.
The Housekeeper will maintain and implement a clean, safe and positive patient care work environment. Must be willing to work nights and weekends. This is a fulltime position.
*Certified Medical Technologist

* Full-time Nurse Practitioner with Internal Medicine Sub-Specialty Experience
Pagosa Springs Medical Center (PSMC) has an opportunity available for a full-time Nurse Practitioner with Oncology Subspecialty experience. Duties will include management of various part-time Subspecialists’ patients, including Oncology, Cardiology, and Gastroenterology in the outpatient setting and supporting these patients in-between Specialist visits. The work week could be a four day, ten hour schedule or a regular five day, eight hour schedule, allowing for a perfect work/life balance. The Rep follows up on assigned accounts after claim submission. *MRI Technologist PRN
The MRI Technologist will support the mission and values of PSMC. Under the direct supervision of the Radiology Manager, the MR Technologist performs diagnostic imaging to assist in a diagnosis of disease and injuries. The MRI tech must always ensure the safety of him or herself, along with patients, patients’ family members and other medical personnel. The MRI Technologist works effectively with patients and patients’ families and maintains a cooperative relationship with interdepartmental personnel. MRI technologists interpret a physician’s instructions, explain MRI procedures to patients, and select software and imaging parameters.
*X-ray/CT Technologist PRN
The CT/X-ray Technologist will support the mission and values of PSMC. Under the direct supervision of the Diagnostic Imaging Manager, the CT/X-ray Technologist performs radiographic imaging to assist in a diagnosis of disease and injuries. Along with imaging, the technologist will assist the Radiologist with biopsies and other procedures as needed. The CT/X-ray Technologist works effectively with patients and patients’ families and maintains a cooperative relationship with interdepartmental personnel.
*PRN RN OR Circulator
Perioperative Operating Room RN to be responsible for the safe, effective and quality patient-family centered care in the operating room, gastroenterology suite and other areas of surgical services for all patient populations. BLS/ACLS required, CNOR/CRNFA preferred, 5+ years of operating room circulator and scrub experience preferred, knowledge of Cerner Community Works electronic health record a plus.
* PRN Occupational Therapist
The Occupational Therapist will provide rehabilitative services to patients. Occupational Therapy license is required.
* PRN Ultrasound Tech
The Ultrasound Technologist performs ultrasonic diagnostic procedures, e.g., echocardiograms, abdominal and pelvic sonograms, for patients as ordered. Selects appropriate transducer, depending upon depth of field, organ to be identified, etc. Conducts scanning procedures using ultrasound equipment. Assists physician in such procedures as needle biopsies, amniocentesis, renal biopsies, etc.
