Healthy Brain Series

PSMC is offering a series of classes which will focus on evidence based risk reduction strategies to prevent, delay or even reverse cognitive decline. The next series is scheduled to begin on Monday, January 6th, 2020.  Modeled after programs at UCLA, The Alzheimer’s Prevention Clinic at Weill Cornell Medical College, and the Finish Geriatric Study, the Healthy Brain Series will examine the research behind the strategies and include short videos illustrating the techniques. PSMC’s Healthy Brain Series will guide individuals to develop personalized plans tailored to the needs and abilities of participants. By the last session, participants will have developed a “master plan” which incorporates many or all of the learned strategies from the group meetings. Groups will begin at 2:30 PM and run for 90 minutes.
