Calvin Newsome, FNP-C, is a board-certified nurse practitioner working in primary care and specialty care clinics at Pagosa Springs Medical Center. Mr. Newsome graduated with his bachelor of science in nursing from Georgia Southwestern State University and earned his master of science in nursing from South University in Savannah, GA. Mr. Newsome has provided patient care since 2013, working in emergency care, intensive care, and primary care. He received additional training in family medicine for children and adults, which is signified by the “F” in FNP-C. Mr. Newsome is a military veteran, serving in both Gulf wars with the United States Army. He is married with two daughters and enjoys camping, horseback riding, and spending time with his family and friends.

Dr. Bentley earned his medical degree at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and completed his residency in neurology at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, including a neurophysiology rotation in electroencephalogram (EEG), electromyography (EMG), and evoked potentials. He has been practicing medicine for over 40 years. Dr. Bentley practices neurology at a number of hospitals on the front range, including Kaiser Permanente, Exempla Good Samaritan Hospital, and St. Joseph’s Hospital, where he serves as the section chair for the Department of Neurology. He previously served as clinical associate professor in the neurology department at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. Dr. Bentley enjoys fishing, hiking, skiing, and travel.

Celia Lowry, MSW-LCSW, is a licensed clinical social worker in the Behavioral Health department at Pagosa Springs Medical Center (PSMC). Ms. Lowry graduated from the University of Michigan with a Master of Social Work in 1986. Ms. Lowry provided behavioral health services through her private practice in Texas for 22 years, specializing in grief, trauma, and traumatic grief. Prior to joining PSMC, she provided behavioral health services for adults, adolescents, families, and children at Axis Health System in Pagosa Springs. Ms. Lowry has over 30 years of experience in behavioral health services, including EMDR and DBT, and her interests include treating children and adolescents.

Kevin Kelly, PhD

Kevin Kelly, PhD, is a licensed clinical psychologist and director of the Behavioral Health department at Pagosa Springs Medical Center (PSMC). With over 40 years of clinical experience, Dr. Kelly specializes in providing counseling and psychotherapy services for individuals, couples, families, veterans, and seniors. He graduated from United States International University in San Diego, California, with a Doctorate in Professional Psychology. He earned a Master of Science degree in counseling from San Diego State University. Prior to joining PSMC, Dr. Kelly served as a clinical psychologist working with veterans and seniors, including treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), in Archuleta County. He served as clinical director at Aliso Laguna Village, an inpatient memory care facility in Orange County, California, and served on the Alzheimer’s Association Advisory Board at the University of California Irvine. He received advanced training and has extensive experience in cognitive behavior therapy, providing evaluations and treatment to persons with mild cognitive impairment. He also served as licensed clinical and consulting psychologist in his private practice in Orange County, California, and provided services to Marines and their families at Camp Pendleton. Dr. Kelly served as a U.S. Naval Officer from 1967-1969.

Scott Cordray, DO, is a board certified otolaryngologist specializing in the treatment of disorders of the ear, nose and throat (ENT) at Pagosa Springs Medical Center (PSMC). Dr. Cordray earned his medical degree and completed his residency in otolaryngology – head and neck surgery at Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Cordray has practiced medicine as an ENT specialist for over 20 years, providing care through his private practice in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was one of the first providers in Oklahoma to utilize balloon sinuplasty to treat chronic sinus issues through this minimally invasive treatment. Dr. Cordray and his wife own a home in Pagosa Springs and enjoy hiking and fly fishing. The allure of Pagosa, along with the quality and enthusiasm of the PSMC team, fueled Dr. Cordray’s desire to provide care and build relationships within the community.

Mindy Siegel, MD is a pediatric orthopedist.  She received her B.A. from the University of Texas.  Dr. Siegel attended medical school and performed her residency at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA.  She went on to obtain her fellowship in Pediatric Orthopedics at The Children’s Hospital in Denver.  She has been in practice for more than 25 years.

Dr. Siegel resided in Colorado Springs and spends one week a month treating patients in Pagosa Springs.

Outside of her daily job, she is a volunteer physician for USA Tae Kwon Do, USA Gymnastics, and currently sits on Governor Hickenlooper’s Council for Persons with Disabilities.

Dr. Siegel takes advantage of the beautiful Colorado terrain in her free time.  With this in mind, Mindy wants all of her patients to be able to enjoy our beautiful state with her comprehensive and personalized care.

William M. Jordan, DO, FACOI

William Jordan, DO, FACOI, is a board-certified, fellowship-trained medical oncologist and medical director at The Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at Pagosa Springs Medical Center (PSMC). Dr. Jordan has an extensive career in medical oncology, with over 25 years working in research, education, and the development of cancer care centers. Dr. Jordan emphasizes practical treatment plans while providing safe, quality care. Dr. Jordan earned his medical degree at the University of Medicine and Biosciences in Kansas City, Missouri, and completed his residency in internal medicine at Botsford Medical Center in Detroit. He completed his fellowship in medical oncology and was on faculty in developmental therapeutics at the University of Texas, MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. He also served on the clinical faculty at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Prior to joining PSMC, Dr. Jordan served as an associate professor of oncology and fellow with the Institute of Patient Safety at the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth.

Dr. Jordan participated in clinical research with MD Anderson Cancer Center, the Cancer Education and Research Foundation of Texas, the National Cancer Institute, and multiple national cooperative research organizations and university-based cancer centers. Dr. Jordan served as the founder, past president, and medical director of The Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders of North Texas with nine area locations. He is co-founder of Oncology Metrics, a nationally recognized authority that develops and manages complex integrated systems in oncology, and is a former recipient of the Foley and Lardner “Innovator of the Year” award for innovative strategies in cancer center business structuring. He is an active member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and participates on several oncology-related advisory boards, including the board of directors of Inform Genomics, Inc, and the scientific review board of the Advarra IRB. Dr. Jordan also served on the advisory committee of Cancer Center Business Summit and is a senior consultant at the Cancer Center Business Development Group. He has served on ASCO’s Clinical Practice Committee and is a board member and past-president of the Texas Society of Clinical Oncology. He also serves on the board of several non-medical related organizations.

Dr. Jordan is a long-time second homeowner in Pagosa Springs. Realizing there are unique challenges and obstacles to receiving cancer care for those who choose to live rurally, he hoped to bring quality cancer care to the rural community for many years. Dr. Jordan’s desire and commitment to remove those barriers and provide compassionate, high quality care is a testament to the services of PSMC’s Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders. Dr. Jordan and his wife, Becky, have three children, who all work in healthcare, as well as seven grandchildren.

Roy Tinguely, MD

Roy Tinguely, MD, is a board certified general surgeon at Pagosa Springs Medical Center (PSMC), who practices a wide range of general surgery services. Dr. Tinguely received his medical degree from the University of North Dakota and completed his residency in general surgery at U.N.D. Department of Surgery, where he served as chief resident in 1995. Prior to moving to Pagosa, Dr. Tinguely practiced medicine rurally for over 20 years in Iowa. At Ft. Madison Community Hospital, he served as chief of surgery, Trauma Services medical director, a member of the Medical Executive Committee, and Wound Clinic medical director. He also worked as a mentor for Des Moines University Medical School and as a CRISP mentor for University of Iowa School of Medicine. Prior to working with PSMC, Dr. Tinguely founded Rural Surgical Relief, a private practice that served rural communities in North Dakota, Iowa, Wisconsin, South Dakota, Colorado, Minnesota, and Missouri.

Dr. Tinguely was drawn to the allure of the San Juan mountains from a young age, and admits it was a combination of the beauty of the area and the quality and enthusiasm of the PSMC team that drew him to the region to continue his career. Dr. Tinguely lives in Pagosa with his wife, Debbie, and enjoys the adventure-filled Southwest.

Robert Lambert MD, FACC

Dr. Robert Lambert MD, FACC is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease. He is also a fellow of the American College of Cardiology.

After receiving his bachelor’s degree from Duke University, Dr. Lambert attended University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences where he received his doctorate of medicine. He continued at UAMS with his internship and residency in internal medicine and fellowship training in cardiovascular medicine.

Dr. Lambert moved to Pagosa from Little Rock, AR where he practiced cardiology for over 30 years. He was most recently at Arkansas Cardiology, the largest cardiology clinic in the state.

He is an active community member and Master Naturalist. In Little Rock he received awards for his work with the Arkansas River Trail and in 2015 the National Park Service named him Volunteer of the Year at Buffalo National River.

Dr. Lambert and his wife, Tonya, have five children including a set of triplets, William, Joseph and Eleanor, a daughter Emily and another daughter Amy who is an Obstetrician in Alamosa, CO.

He enjoys many of the activities the region has to offer including; backpacking, fly fishing, snowshoeing, skiing, and biking. Dr. Lambert is excited to provide his services locally to keep his patients closer to home. He is accepting new patients.

Virginia Tjan, MD, is a fellowship trained hematologist and oncologist at The Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at Pagosa Springs Medical Center (PSMC). Dr. Tjan earned her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine on the Caribbean island of Dominica. She completed her residency in internal medicine at Danbury Hospital in Connecticut and her fellowship in hematology and oncology at the University of Connecticut Health Center. She is board certified in hematology and oncology.  Prior to joining PSMC in August 2018, Dr. Tjan served as assistant medical director at St. Mary’s Regional Cancer Center and medical director at St. Mary’s Coumadin Clinic in Grand Junction, CO. She has been practicing medicine since 1994 and now lives in Pagosa with her husband and four dogs. Dr. Tjan has three grown children. She and her husband love the mountains and the small community feel of Pagosa.

Dr. Flemmings serves as medical director of emergency medical services (EMS) at PSMC and sits on various councils that advise on statewide trauma guidelines, the EMS scope of practice, and regional emergency medical and trauma practice guidelines. She earned her bachelor of science through McGill University in Montreal, Canada, and Columbia University in New York City. Dr. Flemmings completed her medical degree at State University of New York (SUNY) Syracuse and her residency in emergency medicine at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. She is also an oral board examiner for the American College of Emergency Physicians.

Richard Zak, MD

Richard Zak, MD, is a fellowship-trained, board-certified gastroenterologist at Pagosa Springs Medical Center (PSMC). Dr. Zak earned his medical degree at the University of Illinois, Abraham Lincoln School of Medicine, where he also completed his residency in internal medicine. He completed a fellowship in gastroenterology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center affiliated with University of California-Los Angeles (UCLA) and went on to practice medicine in Northern California. In 2011, he relocated to Pagosa Springs to help develop the endoscopy program at PSMC. Dr. Zak enjoys treating patients with a broad range of gastrointestinal diseases, with particular interest in liver disease and hepatitis C. He has extensive experience treating complex inflammatory bowel disease with advanced therapies and specializes in endoscopy and colonoscopy treatments. Compassion and quality of care are at the core of Dr. Zak’s personal values. As a specialist provider, he appreciates the opportunity to spend quality time working with patients and focuses on treating the individual, rather than just the disease. Dr. Zak and his wife enjoy the serenity and close knit community of Pagosa Springs. He is proud to provide gastroenterology services to enable patients to receive excellent care close to home. Bill Webb, MD is a board certified orthopedic surgeon. He is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and a Member of the Arthroscopy Association of North America. Dr. Webb has been in practice for more than 20 years and has served as a team physician for school and professional football, basketball, and hockey teams.

He received his medical degree and completed his Orthopedic Surgery residency at Louisiana State University Medical Center in Shreveport. Dr. Webb went on to practice Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine at the Highland Clinic and then the Orthopaedic Clinic. Dr. Webb has also served as Chief of Surgery and Chief of Staff for CHRISTUS Schumpert Hospital.

Dr. Webb believes in working with his patients to develop the best plan of treatment to get them back to enjoying the activities they love to do. He enjoys getting involved with the local community and is accepting new patients.

Joshua Bramble, LPC, is a licensed professional counselor in the Behavioral Health department at Pagosa Springs Medical Center (PSMC). Mr. Bramble is a national certified counselor, specializing in behavioral health issues for people of all ages. He graduated from Adams State University with a Master of Arts in School and Community Counseling in 2001. Mr. Bramble is a member of the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress and is certified as a clinical trauma professional by the International Association of Trauma Professionals. His interests include treating at-risk children and adolescents. He appreciates practicing integrated health as it allows him to work closely with a patient’s primary care team and treat the whole person by combining aspects of behavior health and primary care. Prior to joining PSMC, Mr. Bramble provided counseling services through his private practice in Pagosa Springs for 13 years. He serves as a Pagosa Fire Protection District (PFPD) volunteer firefighter.
