Dr. Robert Lambert MD, FACC is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease. He is also a fellow of the American College of Cardiology.

After receiving his bachelor’s degree from Duke University, Dr. Lambert attended University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences where he received his doctorate of medicine. He continued at UAMS with his internship and residency in internal medicine and fellowship training in cardiovascular medicine.

Dr. Lambert moved to Pagosa from Little Rock, AR where he practiced cardiology for over 30 years. He was most recently at Arkansas Cardiology, the largest cardiology clinic in the state.

He is an active community member and Master Naturalist. In Little Rock he received awards for his work with the Arkansas River Trail and in 2015 the National Park Service named him Volunteer of the Year at Buffalo National River.

Dr. Lambert and his wife, Tonya, have five children including a set of triplets, William, Joseph and Eleanor, a daughter Emily and another daughter Amy who is an Obstetrician in Alamosa, CO.

He enjoys many of the activities the region has to offer including; backpacking, fly fishing, snowshoeing, skiing, and biking. Dr. Lambert is excited to provide his services locally to keep his patients closer to home. He is accepting new patients.

Nicholas Reynolds, DO

Nicholas Reynolds, DO is certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians. Dr. Reynolds received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in Kansas City, MO. He completed his residency training through the Osteopathic Family Medicine Residency program at the Medical Center of Southeastern Oklahoma and Durant Family Medicine Clinic.

Prior to moving to Pagosa Springs, Dr. Reynolds worked as an Emergency Room Physician and also practiced Family Medicine in southern Oklahoma. With his wife and 4 children, Dr. Reynolds looks forward to taking advantage of all outdoor activities the region has to offer.

Michael Moffitt, MD

Michael Moffitt, MD is board certified in internal medicine with a subspecialty in hospice and palliative care. Dr. Moffitt has been in practice since 2001. He received his BS and PhD in biochemistry at the Ohio State University. Dr. Moffitt received his doctorate of medicine from Texas A&M University in College Station, TX and completed his residency at Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple, TX.

Upon completion of his residency he went on to practice at: Lake Granbury Medical Center in Granbury, TX as Hospitalist; Providence Health Center in Waco, TX as Medical Director for Inpatient Medicine; and at Scott & White Memorial Hospital where he ultimately served as Medical Director for Home Health and Hospice. Over the course of his career Dr. Moffitt has helped initiate hospitalist programs at several hospitals that ranged from small to large. He looks forward to integrating experiences from these programs into Pagosa Springs Medical Center.

Dr. Moffitt is excited to bring his talents to Pagosa Springs, a place that he and his wife (herself a veterinarian) are pleased to call home. Together they enjoy riding horses and ATVs in the backcountry during the summer and cross-country skiing in the winter.

Julie Buchner, MD is Board Certified in Family Medicine. Dr. Buchner graduated magna cum laude from Vanderbilt University with a Bachelor of Science in neuroscience. She received her doctorate of medicine from Loyola University Chicago, Stritch School of Medicine and went on to complete her residency at the Virginia Common Wealth University’s Chesterfield Family Practice Residency program. Dr. Buchner proceeded to practice family medicine in Illinois where she saw patients in all stages of life from pediatrics to geriatrics. She likes to work as a team with her patients, to prioritize their health care needs and map a path to improved wellness.

 

Dr. Buchner is excited to bring her husband and two girls to Pagosa Springs where they look forward to the small town lifestyle and exploring the hidden gems in the region and growing with the community. Julie is a true outdoors person who likes to run, ski, camp, and garden.

Aaron Singh, PA-C is a NCCPA board certified primary care provider. Aaron attended A.T. Still University’s Arizona School of Health Sciences Physician Assistant Program in Mesa, AZ. Prior to moving to Pagosa he practiced in the rural East Texas setting for 7 years. Aaron enjoys all aspects of family medicine, but takes particular interest in preventive care and sports medicine.  Aaron believes in building long lasting relationships with his patients and enjoys watching their families grow over time.

Aaron is excited to be back home in Colorado where he obtained his undergrad at the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs. He is looking forward to raising his family in his wife’s hometown of Pagosa Springs. He and his wife look forward to continuing their tradition of integrating themselves into their community through volunteering and working with local charities. During his free time Aaron enjoys playing with his son, running, hiking, camping, and exploring the great outdoors.  He is excited to call Pagosa Springs home and looks forward to many great years with the community.

Maureen Mulligan, LMSW

Maureen Mulligan, LMSW received her Master of Social Work from Syracuse University in Syracuse, New York. She has worked in behavioral health since 2006 with experience in family and couple’s counseling, emergency assessments, psychosocial assessments, and behavioral health issues in adults and adolescents. Her passion for helping others is most rewarded when working with teens. In New York State she was a presenter for the Emotionally Disturbed Response Team and was a Team Leader for the Trauma Response Team.

Maureen is a true east-coaster with roots in New Jersey and New York. She misses regional staples such as the beach, pizza, and a good bagel. The welcoming community and challenge of expanding behavioral health services in our area brings Maureen to Pagosa. She enjoys crocheting, reading, and playing the piano on her time away from the medical center.

Diana Weber, MD is a general surgeon with Presbyterian Medical Group and works part-time at Pagosa Springs Medical Center. After medical school at George Washington University Health Science Center, she completed her surgical training at University of California East Bay. She is a recipient of the Arthur J Hunnicutt Award for Outstanding Resident Teaching. She is married with three children.

John D. Wisneski, MD is board certified in family medicine, specializing in acute care, and has been practicing since 2005. He earned his medical degree at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver, and went on to complete the Fort Collins Family Medicine Residency program, where he was Chief Resident. Dr. Wisneski practiced full-spectrum family medicine in Grand County for 10 years, including hospital care, emergency medicine, and an outpatient clinic. Dr. Wisneski also served as Chief of Staff at Middle Park Medical Center. His hobbies include hiking, biking, inline skating, skiing, snowshoeing, softball, racquetball, scuba diving, cooking, car restoration, travel, and astronomy.

Jared Halterman, DO

Jared Halterman, DO is an emergency medicine physician who has been practicing since 2015. Dr. Halterman attended A.T. Still University’s Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, MO. He then went on to complete his Emergency Medicine Residency at Ohio Valley Medical Center in Wheeling, WV, where he served as Chief Resident from March 2014 to July 2014. Dr. Halterman serves as Medical Director of the Emergency Department at Pagosa Springs Medical Center. He enjoys all outdoor activities while exploring Pagosa Springs with his family.

Peter Dziad, MD is board certified in general surgery and has been practicing since 1987. Dr. Dziad attended University of Toledo College of Medicine in Ohio and went on to complete his residency at the Medical College of Ohio at Toledo. He then worked as a general surgeon at Toledo Hospital from 1987 – 2014 before moving full-time to Pagosa Springs Medical Center, where is is Trauma Medical Director.

Ralph Battels, MD is a Board Certified Emergency Medicine physician. He graduated with double major Biochemistry/Molecular Biology from UC Santa Cruz and chose Medicine over bench research. He earned his MD and completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at The Ohio State University where he met his wife Michelle. Dr. Battels joined the medical staff at Pagosa Springs Medical Center in August 2013. Since then he has served as Director of the Emergency Department, and most recently as Chief of Staff. Ralph is best described as an avid reader who enjoys woodworking and hiking. His wife says he also likes to put his Biochemistry degree to good use and makes really awesome pepper sauce.

Rick Zak, MD is board certified in Internal Medicine with a fellowship in  Gastroenterology.

Dr. Zak earned his Bachelor’s Degree at Occidental College in Los Angeles. He attended University of Illinois, Abraham Lincoln School of Medicine where he also completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine.

Amber Reiss-Holt, MD is triple boarded in general surgery, surgery critical care, and emergency medicine. She earned her BA at UC San Diego, MD in Albany, New York, and then completed her residency in Emergency Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland. After a year, she completed a fellowship in surgical critical care. After working in New Zealand, she received more training in general surgery at Harbor UCLA in California. While completing training in Hawaii, she met her husband Dave and they were blessed with a wonderful daughter in 2010. They moved to Pagosa Springs in 2011.

Dave Shaeffer, MD received his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia and completed his residency at the University of Hawaii. He is board certified in General Surgery by the American Board of Surgery and has an interest in advanced laparoscopic surgery, hernia repair, surgical endoscopy and colon cancer screening.

He provides comprehensive,diagnostic and surgical services for a variety of gastrointestinal and gastroesophageal disorders. In addition to surgeries done in the hospital setting, Dr. Shaeffer performs endoscopy procedures such as EGD and colonoscopy. He also does minor surgical procedures under local anesthesia for skin cancers and biopsies.

Dr. Shaeffer and his staff work closely with each patient to develop an individualized plan of treatment with the goal of returning the patient to normal activities as soon as possible. He is accepting new patients.

Bill Webb, MD is a board certified orthopedic surgeon. He is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and a Member of the Arthroscopy Association of North America. Dr. Webb has been in practice for more than 20 years and has served as a team physician for school and professional football, basketball, and hockey teams.

He received his medical degree and completed his Orthopedic Surgery residency at Louisiana State University Medical Center in Shreveport. Dr. Webb went on to practice Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine at the Highland Clinic and then the Orthopaedic Clinic. Dr. Webb has also served as Chief of Surgery and Chief of Staff for CHRISTUS Schumpert Hospital.

Dr. Webb believes in working with his patients to develop the best plan of treatment to get them back to enjoying the activities they love to do. He enjoys getting involved with the local community and is accepting new patients.

Joshua Bramble, LPC

Joshua Bramble, LPC, is a licensed professional counselor specializing in behavioral health issues for adults and children. He earned his BA in English-Communications from Fort Lewis College in 1996 and his MA in School and Community Counseling from Adams State University in 2001. Josh was raised in Marblehead, Massachusetts, but has considered southwest Colorado his home for the better half of his life. For the last 13 years, Josh has offered his counseling services through his private practice in Pagosa Springs. He is well acquainted with the resources and people of this small town, and loves helping people overcome barriers in their lives. His interests include treating at-risk children and adolescents. He and his family enjoy fishing, swimming, camping, skiing, reading, going to church, and rooting for the New England Patriots.
