William M. Jordan, DO, FACOI

Bill Jordan, DO is board certified in medical oncology and internal medicine. He has an extensive medical oncology career of over 25 years; including research, education, and development of cancer care centers. Dr. Jordan emphasizes practical treatment plans with while providing safe quality care.

Dr. Jordan was most recently an Associate Professor (Oncology) and Fellow with the Institute of Patient Safety, at The University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth, Texas.

Dr. Jordan attended Texas Christian University and Texas Wesleyan University and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and Sociology. He attended medical school at The University of Medicine and Biosciences in Kansas City, Missouri and completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Botsford Medical Center in Detroit. Dr. Jordan went on to complete his oncology fellowship and was on faculty in Developmental Therapeutics at The University of Texas, MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. He has also served on the clinical faculty at UT Southwestern Medical Center.

Dr. Jordan participated in clinical research with MD Anderson Cancer Education and Research Foundation of Texas,  National Cancer Institue, and multiple national cooperative research organizations and university-based cancer centers.

Dr. Jordan was the founder, past president, and medical director of The Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders with nine locations in North Texas. He is a co-founder of Oncology Metrics, a nationally recognized authority that develops and manages complex integrated systems in oncology and is a former recipient of the Foley and Lardner “Innovator of the Year” Award for innovative strategies in cancer center business structuring.

He is an active member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and participates on several oncology-related advisory boards including the Board of Directors of Inform Genomics, Inc, and the Scientific Review Board of the Schulman Associates IRB.  Dr. Jordan is on the advisory committee of The Cancer Center Business Summit and is a senior consultant at the Cancer Center Business Development Group. He has served on ASCO’s Clinical Practice Committee and is a board member and past-president of the Texas Society of Medical Oncology. He also serves on the board of several non-medical related organizations.

Dr. Jordan has been a long time second homeowner in Pagosa Springs where his ultimate goal was to help bring quality cancer care to the rural community. Dr. Jordan realizes there are unique challenges and obstacles to receiving cancer care for those who choose to live rurally. He has the desire and commitment to remove those barriers and provide compassionate, high-quality care. Dr. Jordan and his wife, Becky, have three children (Bill Jr., Chris, Jennifer) all of whom are in healthcare, as well as seven grandchildren.
