* Full Time Emergency Medicine Physician

Pagosa Springs Medical Center has an opening for a Full-Time Emergency Medicine Physician. Must be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine or have extensive Emergency Medicine experience. Full-time is generally 10 to 12 shifts per month with an equitable mix of days, nights, weekends and holidays. PSMC will provide professional liability insurance coverage, a relocation stipend of $10,000 payable after relocation and two weeks after starting work, and a CME allowance of $6,000 annually (gross and subject to taxes) for full-time physicians. Compensation is $175 per hour for day shifts and $180 per hour for night shifts. * Full Time Primary Care Physician

Pagosa Springs Medical Center has an opening for a Full-Time Primary Care Physician.  Must be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine. Full-time physicians work four 10-hour shifts per week (not weekends). PSMC will provide professional liability insurance coverage, a relocation stipend of $10,000 payable after relocation and two weeks after starting work, and a CME allowance of $6,000 annually (gross and subject to taxes) for full-time physicians. * Clinic Social Worker

Pagosa Springs Medical Center has an opening for a Clinic Social Worker. The Clinic Social Worker position provides integrated behavioral health care to RHC clients. This position also provides typical social work supportive to patient needs (including, without limitation, the Colorado Hospital Transformation Project) to hospital and clinic clients. This position uses specialized education, discretion and judgement to perform the following:

  • Assess the patient’s physical, psychosocial, cultural and spiritual needs
  • Assist in the coordination of appropriate services, resources and referrals
  • Advocate and provides support to patients and families having difficulty coping effectively with changing medical conditions and other social determinants that may affect their health and well-being
  • Provide short-term behavioral health series in an integrated health care setting
  • Diagnose and provide evidence-based therapy in the outpatient Behavioral Health Specialty Clinic.

The Surgical Technologist will work directly with the surgeon and the circulating registered nurse.

*Clinic Lead RN

Pagosa Springs Medical Center has an opening for a full time Clinic Lead RN. This lead position will be responsible for maintaining and upholding the mission, vision, values and culture of the organization. The Lead RN position will have a combination of both direct patient care responsibilities as well as some administrative functions. This position works directly with the Clinic Nurse Manager to provide oversight, supervision, and scheduling of the clinical support staff (RNs, LPNs, and Mas). This position will have float RN responsibilities to include, but not limited to, triage, scheduled nurse visits and supporting other clinical staff when needed.

  • Other responsibilities may include providing direct patient care, maintaining supply inventory, medication/immunization inventory, and CLIA-waived laboratory inventory and quality control.
  • This position will be a member of the clinic administration team and assist in maintaining, developing and enhancing clinic efficiencies necessary to support providers and patient flow.

The Coding Analyst possesses a solid understanding of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS Coding and CMS rules and regulations. The Coding Analyst audits and reviews medical documentation for appropriate coding and documentation for the purpose of reimbursement, training, education, and compliance. Gives feedback to the HIM and Patient Registration Manager, and gives suggestions for improvement initiatives. Responsible for obtaining authorizations for ordered services, timely and accurately, to ensure reimbursement for outpatient and inpatient services. The specialist is responsible for providing complete documentation of clinical information to payers in support of healthcare services to be authorized.

  • Education Requirements: High school graduate or equivalent required. Advanced level courses and/or AHIMA or AAPC certification preferred or three (3) years or more of equivalent experience. Courses in medical/clinical terminology and computer.

*Phlebotomist

The Phlebotomist performs blood collection from patients, some waived standard biological, microbiological and chemical tests in all areas of the medical laboratory.

*Radiology/CT Technologist

*Registered Nurse First Assist (RNFA)

Pagosa Springs Medical Center has an opening for Registered Nurse First Assist (RNFA). The RNFA functions as the assistant to the operating surgeon during the operative procedure and provides comprehensive nursing management and care during the perioperative phase. The RNFA should be experienced in both scrub and circulating nurse roles and have excellent skill for patient care. In addition, the RFNA must demonstrate leadership skills that foster positive teamwork in the surgery department.
