PHYSICIAN AND ADVANCED PROVIDER POSITIONS

* Full Time Primary Care Physician

Pagosa Springs Medical Center has an opening for a Full-Time Primary Care Physician.  Must be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine. The position is for all outpatient, non-obstetrical, full-time primary care including women’s care. Full-time physicians work four 10-hour shifts per week (not weekends). PSMC will provide professional liability insurance coverage, a relocation stipend of $10,000 payable after relocation and two weeks after starting work, and a CME allowance of $6,000 annually (gross and subject to taxes) for full-time physicians. Full-time physicians receive 260 hours of paid time off per year. Compensation range for full-time Family Medicine physician:  $190,000 to $235,000. Compensation range for full-time Internal Medicine physician:  $200,000 to $250,000. *Certified Surgical Technologist

The Surgical Technologist will work directly with the surgeon and the circulating registered nurse.

  • Assists surgeon during gastroenterology endoscopy, operative and invasive procedures with a working knowledge of sterile and aseptic technique.

*Clinic RN

Pagosa Springs Medical Center has an opening for a full time Clinic RN. The RN is responsible for providing nursing care to the patient under the direction of a physician or health care provider. The RN will assist the Provider in delivering high quality patient care and accurately document all necessary information within the patient’s chart. The RN will perform nurse triage across the lifespan, in person and over the phone, using accepted nursing triage protocols and workflows. The RN will perform in-house lab tests, EKG’s, assist with basic procedures as well as administer and document medications and vaccinations appropriately. The Compliance and Revenue Integrity Auditor is responsible for completing internal audits by independently and objectively assessing internal controls utilizing a systematic approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control and governance processes. Prepares audit work plan, completes audits, prepares audit reports to ensure any findings are mitigated. Identifies enhancements or improvements to internal processes to help ensure quality, efficiency and regulatory compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Researches, manages, coordinates, and implements Charge Description Master (CDM) and charge capture initiatives and processes to ensure revenue management and revenue protection, and ensures the overall integrity of the CDM. (Charge Master). Monitors and reports to the management on progress and processes. Is able to work independently with the latitude to make changes or suggestions. Conducts special projects to facilitate revenue management. Works collaboratively with the organizations directors, managers, and supervisors on all charge master related processes.

*Echocardiography Technologist

Pagosa Springs Medical Center has an opening for a full time Echocardiography Technologist (Echo Tech). The Echo Tech will support the mission and values of PSMC. The Echo Tech works independently performing professional level assessments and a variety of noninvasive studies using ultrasound and related diagnostic technology as appropriate and records the results and clinical preliminary impressions as indicated. The results of these test are used to direct the course of patient care. The Echo Tech encounters difficult problems related to examinations and must resolve them with limited supervision. There is daily contact with professionals and families. This position is a full performance Echocardiography Technologist with advanced knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology and disease. All examinations are performed within standard protocols and in a variety of settings (outpatient, emergency department and inpatient unit) using portable equipment. The sonographer performs transthoracic echocardiograms, treadmill exercise stress echocardiograms, Holter/ Event monitor setup and reporting, and assists with ECG stress testing.

  • Education/Experience Requirements: May have completed course in ultrasound/echocardiography technology, and may have additional registration as Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS). Sonographer must maintain Continuing Medical Education as required by registry.

Pagosa Springs Medical Center has an opening for a full time Employee Health Nurse. The Employee Health nurse develops and administers the Employee Health Program at Pagosa Springs Medical Center. Responsibilities associated with this position include Identification of work-related risks and developing programs and strategies that reduce those risks as much as possible, including a Fitness for Duty program. This critical position participates in the new hire process by performing pre-employment health screenings and immunizations and maintaining appropriate documentation of employee health records. The Employee Health Nurse is a key member of the disaster response team, working closely with the Infection Preventionist to managing employee health issues related to the disaster or disaster response. The Employee Health Nurse provides education to staff that helps employees to understand their health and safety on the job. This positions works closely with the physician supervisor to develop protocols for managing employee health, including management of employee injuries and exposures.

  • Education, Training and Experience: Post-secondary degree (e.g. associates' or baccalaureate degree) from an accredited academic facility. Relevant experience as an Employee Health nurse preferred. At least 2 years of nursing experience preferred.

*Infusion RN Supervisor

The Infusion RN Supervisor works under the supervision of the Director of Oncology and Pharmacy and assures provision of care to infusion patients by utilizing the nursing process and principles of continuous quality improvement in collaboration with members of the healthcare team. The Mammography Technologist will support the mission and values of PSMC.

  • Under the direct supervision of the Diagnostic Imaging Manager and the Radiologist, the Mammography Technologist performs Screening and Diagnostic Mammograms to assist in the diagnosis of disease.

Under the general supervision of the Dietary Supervisor, the Nutritional Services Worker supports preparation of food for meals & functions in a timely manner for the hospital patients, staff and visitors.
