Calvin Newsome, FNP-C, is a board-certified nurse practitioner working in primary care and specialty care clinics at Pagosa Springs Medical Center. Mr. Newsome graduated with his bachelor of science in nursing from Georgia Southwestern State University and earned his master of science in nursing from South University in Savannah, GA. Mr. Newsome has provided patient care since 2013, working in emergency care, intensive care, and primary care. He received additional training in family medicine for children and adults, which is signified by the “F” in FNP-C. Mr. Newsome is a military veteran, serving in both Gulf wars with the United States Army. He is married with two daughters and enjoys camping, horseback riding, and spending time with his family and friends.
Scott Cordray, DO, is a board certified otolaryngologist specializing in the treatment of disorders of the ear, nose and throat (ENT) at Pagosa Springs Medical Center (PSMC). Dr. Cordray earned his medical degree and completed his residency in otolaryngology – head and neck surgery at Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Cordray has practiced medicine as an ENT specialist for over 20 years, providing care through his private practice in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was one of the first providers in Oklahoma to utilize balloon sinuplasty to treat chronic sinus issues through this minimally invasive treatment. Dr. Cordray and his wife own a home in Pagosa Springs and enjoy hiking and fly fishing. The allure of Pagosa, along with the quality and enthusiasm of the PSMC team, fueled Dr. Cordray’s desire to provide care and build relationships within the community.
