Daniel Renner, MD

Daniel Renner, MD, is a board certified emergency medicine physician at Pagosa Springs Medical Center. After receiving his degree at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver, Colorado, he completed his residency in emergency medicine at UNC Hospitals in North Carolina, where he was Chief of UNC Emergency Medicine Residency. He has worked in several trauma centers and is an Advanced Trauma Life Support instructor.

Dr. Renner and his family consider Pagosa Springs to be their home and enjoy the numerous outdoor activities this community provides.

Kerri Voigts, MD

Kerri Voigts, MD, is a board-certified emergency medicine physician at Pagosa Springs Medical Center (PSMC). Dr. Voigts earned her medical degree at the University of Texas at Houston Health Sciences Center and completed her residency in emergency medicine at University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria. Prior to joining PSMC, Dr. Voigts worked as a emergency medicine physician at Texas Health Resources Willow Park and Lake Granbury Medical Center, where she served as medical director of trauma and the emergency department. She is married with two sons and enjoys spending quality time with her family while traveling and playing with their family dog.

Nicholas Reynolds, DO

Nicholas Reynolds, DO, is an emergency medicine physician at Pagosa Springs Medical Center (PSMC). Dr. Reynolds is board certified in family medicine by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians. He received his doctorate of osteopathic medicine from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in Missouri and completed his residency in family medicine at the Osteopathic Family Medicine Residency program at the Medical Center of Southeastern Oklahoma and Durant Family Medicine Clinic. Prior to joining PSMC, Dr. Reynolds worked as an emergency and family medicine physician in southern Oklahoma. Along with his wife and children, Dr. Reynolds enjoys the many outdoor activities that the region has to offer.

Jared Halterman, DO

Jared Halterman, DO, is an emergency medicine physician at Pagosa Springs Medical Center, where he serves as medical director of the emergency department. Dr. Halterman earned his doctorate of osteopathic medicine at A.T. Still University’s Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Missouri. He completed his residency in emergency medicine at Ohio Valley Medical Center in West Virginia, where he served as chief resident from March 2014 to July 2015. Dr. Halterman enjoys all outdoor activities while exploring the Pagosa Springs area with his family.

Ralph Battels, MD

Ralph Battels, MD, is a board-certified emergency medicine physician at Pagosa Springs Medical Center (PSMC), where he serves as chief of staff. He graduated with a double major in biochemistry and molecular biology from the University of California Santa Cruz, and earned his medical degree and completed his residency in emergency medicine at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. Dr. Battels has practiced medicine since 1994 and served on PSMC’s medical staff since August 2013. He lives in Pagosa with his wife and enjoys reading, woodworking, and hiking.
