Calvin Newsome, FNP-C, is a board-certified nurse practitioner working in primary care and specialty care clinics at Pagosa Springs Medical Center. Mr. Newsome graduated with his bachelor of science in nursing from Georgia Southwestern State University and earned his master of science in nursing from South University in Savannah, GA. Mr. Newsome has provided patient care since 2013, working in emergency care, intensive care, and primary care. He received additional training in family medicine for children and adults, which is signified by the “F” in FNP-C. Mr. Newsome is a military veteran, serving in both Gulf wars with the United States Army. He is married with two daughters and enjoys camping, horseback riding, and spending time with his family and friends.
William Bentley, MD, is a fellowship-trained, board-certified neurologist at Pagosa Springs Medical Center (PSMC). Dr. Bentley earned his medical degree at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and completed his residency in neurology at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, including a neurophysiology rotation in electroencephalogram (EEG), electromyography (EMG), and evoked potentials. He has been practicing medicine for over 40 years. Dr. Bentley practices neurology at a number of hospitals on the front range, including Kaiser Permanente, Exempla Good Samaritan Hospital, and St. Joseph’s Hospital, where he serves as the section chair for the Department of Neurology. He previously served as clinical associate professor in the neurology department at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. Dr. Bentley enjoys fishing, hiking, skiing, and travel.
