Andrew Buck, DO, is a board certified oncologist and fellowship trained hematologist at PSMC’s Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders. Dr. Buck has been practicing medicine since 2015.
Dr. Buck earned his medical degree at Touro University Nevada in Henderson, Nevada and completed his residency at Valley Hospital Medical Center in Las Vegas. After completing his fellowship in medical oncology at Oklahoma State University and then hematology at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center/University at Buffalo New York, Dr. Buck served as head of Gastrointestinal Medical Oncology in Tulsa, Oklahoma. After moving to Southwest Colorado, he served as the Medical Director for Southwest Oncology at Mercy Medical Center.
Dr. Buck believes in developing evidence-based treatment to fit each patient’s unique healthcare needs, balancing a patient-focused approach with a high standard of care. He is grateful to be able to provide cancer care services in the Four Corners region, which allows his patients to receive care closer to home.
Dr. Buck has long been attracted to the Four Corners area as he and his family enjoy hiking, cycling, camping, and in general, all things outdoors. Prior to medical training, Dr. Buck lived and traveled abroad with a quite impressive travel resume. Since returning to the U.S. and completing his medical and subspecialty training, he looks forward to digging deep roots within the community and providing oncology services for years to come.
