Andrew Buck, DO

Andrew Buck, DO, is triple board certified (medical oncology, hematology and internal medicine) and serves as our Medical Director at PSMC’s Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders. Dr. Buck has been practicing medicine since 2015.
Dr. Buck earned his medical degree at Touro University-Nevada in Henderson, Nevada and completed his internal medicine residency at Valley Hospital Medical Center in Las Vegas. He completed his fellowship in medical oncology at Oklahoma State University and then his hematology fellowship at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center/University at Buffalo New York. Dr. Buck served as head of Gastrointestinal Medical Oncology in Tulsa, Oklahoma. After moving to Southwest Colorado, he served as the Medical Director for Southwest Oncology at Mercy Regional Medical Center.
Dr. Buck believes in providing evidence-based treatment regimens that appropriately fit the needs of each patient, allowing for a balance of patient-focused approach with high standards of care. Dr. Buck and his team welcome collaboration and partnership with large academic centers to allow patients the best comprehensive and multidisciplinary care available. He is grateful to be able to provide oncology and hematology services in the Four Corners region, which allows the residents of our community to receive care closer to home.
Dr. Buck has long been attracted to the Four Corners area as he and his family enjoy hiking, cycling, camping, and in general, all things outdoors. Prior to medical training, Dr. Buck lived and traveled abroad with a quite impressive travel resume. Since returning to the U.S. and completing his medical and subspecialty training, he looks forward to digging deep roots within the community and providing oncology services for our region for years to come.
